So it's been awhile...
Sorry it has taken so long to update this super blog. The holidays were quite busy and I have been waiting for new photos to post from my Dad. Dad, if you are reading this, we are waiting! I'm sure you are very busy with work right now. Anyway, here's how the holidays went:
On December 22, we celebrated Christmas with Kenton's mother's side of the family. It was a lovely gathering and Gabby was passed around. Her Uncle Craig always comments on how cute her little smile is and that is so nice to hear. We think so, of course, but we are somewhat biased. Gabby received a few books and toys that night. We forgot to take our camera. Shame on us.
On December 23, we traveled to Columbus, OH to spend the holiday with my family. My grandparents who live in California were supposed to meet their two great-granddaughters for
the first time, but were stuck in California due to cancelled flights in Denver. They never made it to Ohio and we are still waiting to see when they will be making the trip. We cried and cried when we found out that they were not going to be able to come, but look forward to the visit when it finally happens! Needless to say, we had a nice visit in Columbus and even got to see MY godfather, Uncle Walid, and his wife, my Aunt Najat. They stopped in Columbus on their way to Michigan
from their hometown of Gaithersburg, MD. Aunt Najat is holding Moira in the photo on the right. Gabby received many nice gifts from everyone in the family and Kenton and I were given an engraved video IPOD from my parents. My Dad tracked it all the way from Shanghai to make sure it didn't get lost. On a sad note, Jack suffered another seizure while we were in Columbus. He hasn't had one since September, so we still aren't too concerned, but it is always troubling.

Sarah and Brian had a nice Christmas. They spent a lot of time with us in Columbus, but a few nights in Cleveland with Brian's family as well. The photo to the
right is of Moira smiling. She is getting so big! Gabby and Moira enjoyed seeing one another again. Gabby just stared at Moira because she thought she was funny. Hopefully on the next visit, Moira will see Gabby and stare back at her!We returned to IN on Wednesday after Christmas and celebrated
the holidays with Kenton's Dad the next day. Gabby got to meet her lovely Aunt Johnna for the first time, who was visiting from Texas. Johnna's husband, Wayne, is in Iraq right now, but Johnna took video of the baby and will be sending it his way soon. We miss him a lot and think about him all the time.
