Hacked Again!

Dudes, I must be on a roll because a new hack I sent to Parenthacks made it on the website today! Aren't I just the most inventive mother in the world? Okay, maybe not, but my idea of putting kids in their bathrobes at the doctor will hopefully be helpful to at least one person out there. Check out my new hack here.

Gabby is still kind of sick. Her nose continues to run, but more than anything, her teeth her killing her. She cries constantly and throws temper tantrums more often than anyone cares to hear. Yesterday and today have been particularly hard.

Yesterday we went to the doctor for a "well" check-up and some shots. Gabby was in a super mood there (of course not at home) and even said "doctor" and "nurse" for the staff. They just thought she was adorable and I concurred (hello, I AM her mother). She was so good for the doctor and let her listen to her heart and look in her ears without complaint. I think the doctor's kit she received for Christmas has helped her get used to those tools a bit. She weighed a whopping 19 lbs. 11 oz. (she is 15.5 mos.), 31" tall, and full of humor. The doctor thought her vocabulary was quite developed for a child her age. She IS brilliant, you know. Well, her Mamaw tells her that all the time at least. ;-) She fell into the 75th percentile for height and 10th for weight. Guess she and her cousin Emma are very much alike--tall and stick-like.

I have some videos to post, but am having trouble getting them uploaded to YouTube. I will continue my efforts this evening and see if I can't get them up.

What a great tip, Emily! Both of my kids had ADORABLE bathrobes and I think we only used them a couple of times--just to take pictures. It is true that so many times your child is just waiting around in his/her diaper.

So have you tried this out with Gabby yet? It would be funny if you sold those on ebay and embroidered them with "Club MEDical." Okay, kind of cheesey, I know.
