Ringing in the New Year

This New Year's was an interesting one to say the least. We had our annual New Year's party, but so many of our party-going friends were sick or had to cancel for other reasons, we took the show on the road to Kristy and Kelly's parents' house. It was so nice of them to let us come over and attempt to ring in the New Year with them. Yes, you noticed the word "attempt." We thought we could put Gabby to bed in a pack n' play and then hang out with the adults until midnight. Two hours after we started trying to get the little one to sleep, she was still awake, so we went home and rang in the new year with sleepy eyelids on the couch. We are officially old. We still had a great time while we were at the Schenher's house and Gabby especially had fun with the other kids--her surrogate cousins. Kristy took some cute photos of the confetti toss that Kelly dreamed up (and cleaned up--go Kel). The kids had a blast!

We're so glad you were able to join us!

You did a great job of showering the kids with the confetti. It was hard to tell who was having more fun...
