Gabby Funnies

Our kid says the funniest things.

Thursday morning when she woke up:
G: "Hi mom! It's good to see you!"
M: "It's good to see you too Gabby."

Thursday morning while wiping her tears away with a blankie:
G: "Mom, I'm cryin'. I'm wiping my 'tearrings' away."

While driving past the intersection of 106th and Allisonville where there is a little brick sewer utility hut that smells bad:
G: "Shoo-wee! Dat smells bad. Dat stinks! Dat is duh stinky house, Mom!"
M: "Yes, that 'stinky house' sure is smelly."

Highlighting Gabby's obsession with Keith Weseli, her friend Grace's dad, whom she sees about once every 3 months:
G: "Where's Daddy?"
M: "He's at a basketball game with Mr. Keith."
G: "Oh. I want to see Mrs. Keif. I wan go basketball game wif Mr. Keif."
M: "Yes, I bet that is a lot of fun, but it was Daddy's turn to go. He and Mr. Keith are friends. Mr. Keith took Daddy to the game in his car."
G: "I wanna ride in Mr. Keif's car!"
M: "Sorry honey. Only Daddy. You won't see Daddy tonight, but he'll be home after he works tomorrow."
G: "He go work wif Mr. Keif?"
M: "No, honey. Mr. Keif works at a different office."
G: (all sullen) "Oh."

Mr. Keif, can you come play with my kid and get her off my back about hanging out with you? I mean, you're cool and all, but what is the attraction? Are you hiding Teddy Grahams in your pocket or something? ;)

That's too funny Emily. I don't usually carry Honey Grahams on me so I really don't know what the deal is. I will gladly hang out wiht Miss Gabby--then I'm sure the obsession would be cured.

On a related note, I have been more popular with Grace lately also.

That is hilarious, Emily! I love that she is obsessed with Keith. I have no idea why. I mean, he's great and all, but... :)

Such cute stories. I love the stinky house story! :)

Those are too cute! Both of my kids have gone through an obsessive "Keif" phase, too. I think it's because there's a slight resemblance btwn. him and Peyton Manning. Just a guess. Actually, it's b/c he's a great uncle!

I agree w/ Gabby about the stinky house. Is that new? It never used to smell that bad at that intersection. Yuck!
