Blanche Stuart Scott of the Porcelain World

This morning I woke up and watched TV in bed for a minute while I was listening to Gabrielle stir in bed. She would mumble for a minute, go back to sleep, mumble, and so on. I figured I would just wait for her to fully wake up. A few minutes later, I thought I heard water running in the house and wondered if Kenton was still home for a moment. No, no way. He had left a long time before that. Soon after, Gabrielle comes busting through my bedroom door, fully dressed with blankies in hand, telling me that she went pee-pee in the potty. February has been potty-training month, so we have been somewhat bathroom-focused. Although Gabby has sat down on the potty by herself before, she hasn't ever fully gone potty solo. She very excitedly led me down the hall to the bathroom and showed me her successes. She most certainly DID go potty ALL BY HERSELF. I didn't see any toilet paper in the little potty and Gabby told me she wiped and flushed it down the toilet. What a big girl! I was so proud of her. We're making baby steps over here, but so far I think she has done fabulously with potty-training. She is becoming such a big girl!

*For those who don't know who Blanche Stuart Scott is, she was the first female to fly an airplane. She stole the plane and had no experience, but was still the first!

Thanks for the asterisk of information as I had no idea who Blanche Stuart Scott was....you are so smart!

Way to go Gabby! She really has taken this potty thing is stride. I am glad that it has all gone so well and that she has progressed better than any potty training book could have imagined. What a big girl!

Ha! I was wondering if that was the name of Blanche from "The Golden Girls." :) Too funny! (Obviously I need to spend a little less time in front of the TV and a little more time with my nose in a book...)

Great job, Gabby! It's quite an accomplishment to know when you have to go and then to get up and go all by yourself!

Way to go Gabby! I can't WAIT for Ella to be potty trained - I now need a small army to hold her down for diaper changes, and it's getting REAL old... :)
