Gabby's First Report Card

For the past year, Gabby has attended a "Mother's Day Out" program one day a week at a local church/preschool. They take great care of her and she loves playing with her friends there. It took her quite awhile to get acclimated to school and Mommy leaving her behind, but now she enjoys all of the activities and seeing her friends. With two weeks left in the year, we received Gabby's first report card. Here's how she did:
Y=Yes
S=Still in Progress
Y - I take part in muscle building activities. (gross motor skills)
Y - I build with tools and materials.
Y - I use fingerplays to build small muscles (hand motions to songs)
Y - I clean up after work and play.
Y - I take part in musical activities.
Y - I enjoy books and pictures.
Y - I follow directions.
Teacher Comments:
Gabby has a very sweet, fun personality. She seems to enjoy all our Bunny room activities and gets along well with the other children. Gabby especially loves looking at books and playing with the shopping carts. It has been a pleasure having Gabby in class this year.
Sniff, sniff. Tear. So proud.

A teacher's daughter for sure. :) Congratulations, Gabby, on your first (of many, I'm sure) glowing repot cards. Ice cream, anyone? ;)
Go Gabby! Of course we all knew she was the smartest kid on the block :o)
Way to go, Gabby! Such a smarty pants!
Good girl, Gabby! Mommy, maybe when she's older you can turn her love of shopping carts into the official grocery shopper in your house. :) :)
That's so cute that they issued a report card for Mother's Day Out! If you're like me, that baby is already laminated and/or framed. I think it's great that they took the time to write something personal about Gabby. And her marks are excellent! Did she earn a dollar for every Y?
