What I Like About You
Gabrielle has been SO much sweeter lately and has been using her manners very well. She says "please" and "thank you" for just about everything. She still has her moments, but boy life is a lot more fun with less whining and more funnies! This little girl is so darn cute some days, here are some of our favorite things about her (or funny things she has said):
1. Her vocabulary is ever-expanding. It's funny hearing her say words that she's picked up from our conversations. The most recent ones were huge (pronounced HOOG by Gabby), enormous (we're still working on GInormous), and tasty (as in, "Mmm, Mom! This is tasty.").
2. I've apparently called Gabby a "goober" one too many times. She is now returning the favor by calling ME a goober.
3. Whenever Kenton or I come home from being gone, Gabby gives us a warm welcome, running to the door and yelling our names. She immediately wants kisses and hugs. I have a feeling she won't be doing this when she is 16.
4. I love that Gabby told me she could teach me how to go poo-poo on the potty if I wanted her to. She said she could show me how to "push it all out."
5. Whenever Kenton goes in the bathroom, Gabby will look at me and say, "He's standing up."
6. Gabrielle will tell you long, elaborate stories about things she has done. I have no clue who she gets that from.
7. This morning I told Kenton that he snored a lot last night. Gabby added, "Yeah Daddy. You're a snoring pig!"
8. Gabby cannot remember the character's name "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast. She calls her "Beauty" from "Beauty from the Beast."
9. Before we say the dinner blessing every night, Gabby makes us all take a drink of our beverage. I don't know why she thinks it is necessary to take a drink before the prayer, but for some reason to her it is.
10. Whenever there is thunder, I always tell Gabby it is God moving his furniture around. Today Kenton was making a bunch of noise in the garage and Gabby yells, "Daddy's moving his furniture around!"
11. If Gabrielle sees a baby in a commercial, magazine, in person, wherever, she always comments, "He's so cute!" She's a baby-lover, that's for sure.
12. Gabby is really getting into "matching" her clothes. She will comment on how things match and likes to pick her hairclips out every morning. Some days she wants them to match her outfit and some days she doesn't.
13. Every day when we leave the house, Gabby will give Jack a kiss and a hug goodbye. She also tells him, "Don't worry, buddy. We'll be back soon."

Love this! She is such a little smarty!!!!
Madda's biggest thing too is running to great us. It's so wonderful isn't it!!! She'll say "mamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I missed you!!!!!!"
I love that the past few days have gone a lot better and look at all the cute things Gabbilicious has said!
I think she learned the picking out her clothes thing from hanging out with the Willetts but the only thing that differs is that Gabby wants her clothes to match (I say this as Ella is wearing a purple shirt, orange shirt and yellow socks and she dressed Laney in a purple skirt, velor top and blue leggings). Maybe we are color blind over here?
I love that when there is thunder you say God is moving furniture.....I always saying it's talking but since thunder sounds more like shouting that isn't a great thing to say. I will need to use the moving furniture thing instead :)
She is so cute! I miss living next door! Look at all the sweet things I'm missing!! I'm so glad the past few days have gone smoother. She is growing up so fast! We miss you guys!
What a great list (and title!). Gabby has always impressed me with how frequently she says "please" and "thank you" without being prompted and how she says "yes" instead of "yeah." Even I'm guilty of the latter! Obviously this shows that you talk to her like she's a big girl and enjoy teaching her. Hmmm...ever thought of homeschooling? Just kidding! She is really bright, though, and has such a big heart in that tiny body. :) You guys are truly blessed!
Oh, these were so funny! And it is also eerie how similar Grace and Gabby are. Grace says "hoog" and some of the other things you mentioned reminded me of her. :) I'm glad that things are going well for you. I agree that less whining + more funnies= more fun!
We always tell Grace that the angels are bowling when there is thunder, but I like how you say it is God moving the furniture. Whoever is making all that racket, can someone please tell me why it usually tends to happen around bedtime? :)
Gabby is such a sweet, cute little girl! We are missing her- hope to get to see you this week!
