First Day of School
We've taken a blog hiatus (not only from posting, but from reading others' blogs so we apologize), but I thought the photos from today were just too cute not to share. Gabby has had mixed feelings about going back to school (just one day a week), but we managed to survive the drop-off experience today. She cried (harder than any of the other kids), but her teacher swooped her up and I made my exit. I went to pay her tuition and peeked in as I was leaving to see her content in her teacher's arms. She was SO excited about school all morning and very chatty, so I figured she was a little anxious. When we sat down for her first day of school photo shoot, she gave me a few cute ones and then turned very silly, as you will see. One day down, many, many, many more to go.

Aww, she looks so big! Her hair is getting so long, too! I'm glad the drop off wasn't especially painful; hopefully she'll remember how much fun she has at school, so that Mommy can have a nice few hours "off". Thanks for coming to see us the other day! We love visitors. Hopefully we'll start getting some kind of routine down soon, and then we can come up to see you guys!
That girl has so much personality! She is adorable, Emily. :)
Glad to know she survived her first drop off at school. I'm sure she'll have a ton of fun there.
Layla will be jealous when she sees Gabby's lunch box. ;)
OMG, that is the cah-utest post EVER! She seriously has THE cutest personality. And what a big girl going to school!! How is it that they grow up so darn fast???
Emily, these pictures are so cute. And Gabby looks so much more stylish than we did in our obligatory "first day of school" pictures. Perhaps, though, she'll look back on them just like we do on ours and say "Mom, why did you let me wear that out of the house and make a fool of myself?"
Cute pictures! I know you will both enjoy those days. She will have so much fun doing little crafts and learning songs, and you will have so much fun doing whatever you want, whenever you want! :)
I love the second-to-last one. She was quite silly this morning, huh? Very cute. Her hair IS getting so long. Love the pigtails!
