Say "Cheese!"

My awesome friend Brooke allowed me to borrow her DSLR camera this past weekend to take some photos of my mother-in-law for her Christmas card. In the meantime, I had a lot of fun taking photos of other family members as well. I found that Jack was the most fun to photograph, as he lied so still on the floor and looks too cute. I will be sharing my photos throughout the week, as my internet connection has been VERY iffy today and I don't want to upload a bunch of photos and then lose them.

Great pictures! I can't believe how old Gabby is beginning to look! She is so beautiful. I love the first close up and I love how her eyes just pop in all of the pictures.

Is Gabby suddenly not showing her teeth in pics? :-)

Yes, Jess. She is SO over having teeth in her pics. Haha! I think she is at the age when smiling without teeth is more acceptable. If I get her to laugh, then you see the teeth, otherwise if I ask her to show her teeth, it is the most fake "cheese" smile you can imagine.

You are a talented photographer! Remember my suggestion about buying yourself a gift with your hard-earned music-teaching money...

No kidding, Emily--I think you need a DSLR!!! Come on...everybody's doing it. Are you feeling the peer pressure? These pictures are so good!

These are really good! I love the ones of Gabby, but that first one of Jack...there's just something about it! Do you want me to have Santa tell Kenton what's on your list this year??? :)

Totally cute! And I will warn you, once you go to a DSLR, you will never want to go back. But I've always thought you pics and video were great, too! I am totally admiring your ability to capture so much of Gabby's life on film...I'm totally failing at my job!
