Gabby is doing much better with eating solids now. She likes to first "taste" the food with her Lil' Dipper spoon to make sure it is ok to eat before taking the plunge and eating from the spoon. She really enjoys feeding herself and often grabs the spoon and shoves it in her mouth on her own. How independent of her! I thought all of these photos were so cute, I couldn't pick which ones to post, so I just put them all up! I really think she resembles her cousin Emma a lot in the bottom 2. Enjoy!

Gabby helped Mommy bake cookies today. As you see, her main job was to control the chocolate chips. I think she pretty much just enjoyed chewing on the bag and hearing it crinkle. She did get into the flour again, darn kid. I hate it when she does that.

A Wednesday in the park

Gabby and I took a nice walk around Holland Park today with my friend, Katie, and her two daughters, Sawyer and Madeline. Brooke and baby Beau met up with us at the playground. It was a glorious, 64-degree day. We loved it!

In the Summertime...

Kenton's Dad gave us this swimming hat and vest for Gabrielle to wear in the pool this summer. She really enjoys the hat a lot, which is surprising since she usually hates hats. She wanted to model her new gear in hopes that it would inspire the Gods of summer to come soon.

Happy Feet

Gabby has discovered that if she drops a toy, she can pick it up with her feet, to aid her in getting it back in her hands. What a goofball! Here is a photo of her holding up her toy elephant her Great Aunt Denise gave her with her feet.

Family Time...Finally

Kenton finally had a Saturday in which all he had to do was a phone conference. The rest of the day we spent together playing with our sick little girl. It was so nice to finally be able to spend some quality time together. Jack got in a quick nap on the couch while lying on top of Daddy's external hard drive. What a cyber dog! In the evening, Gabby and Daddy spent a little extra time alone while I took the Jack for a walk. Gabby was extra cuddly today, so we took some photos of our special day.

Sickie in the Swing

Gabby's cold is still kicking her little butt daily. We have found that when she is at her crankiest, the swing is her best friend. Thank God that something can keep her happy!

We bought this clever t-shirt for Gabby since her Daddy is such a tech geek. It says "Shh! I'm downloading!" Cute, huh?

One, Two, Three Strikes You're Out

Gabby has been thoroughly enjoying this great weather. We couldn't believe the 60 degrees yesterday, but the 73 today is awesome! Of course Friday's 38 will bring us back to reality, but we sure enjoy this preview of Spring. Yesterday Gabby and I took a walk with our friends Katie and baby Sawyer. Today we got to enjoy a stroll with Jessica and her daughter, Marielle. It has been so nice to have company on our walks around the neighborhood. Jack has loved getting out, too!

Gabby is developing a bit of a cold with congestion and cough being the top symptoms. We are watching it carefully and hoping it doesn't develop into anything worse. Her cough is fairly persistent and continues to disrupt her sleep. Poor thing! In true Gabrielle fashion, she is still smiling and happy despite her illness. Here are some really adorable photos of her from this afternoon. I love the ones in the hat!

Carseat Conundrum

Gabby had a playdate with about 5 other babies today. She enjoys socializing and watching all the other kids. While at the playdate, we watched a Baby Einstein video on the host's theater screen in their basement home theater. It was BIG! The kids were all totally enthralled, but of course, Gabby fell asleep in Mommy's arms. She definitely gets the "sleeping during movies" thing from her mom. Oh well!

Trickle, trickle...splash, splash

Since Daddy has returned from his trip, he has been great at taking over bathtime. You can see in this photo how long Gabby's hair is getting. Everyone comments on how her hair is very thick and growing at the same rate around her head. She looks like she has a buzz cut since her hair is so even all over! It is very cute! Look at that chubby chest, too!

Tootsies!

Gabby discovered her feet a few weeks ago, but they just made it into her mouth 2 days ago. Considering the fact that her feet get stinky like her Daddy's, we are not so sure we like her feet being in her mouth. :) Here she is playing with her new-found appendages.

Exersaucer fun

Gabby had her first play session in her new exersaucer that she borrowed from Joel and Kristy Worthington. She really enjoyed playing with the toys and had trouble deciding which toy to play with first! She hasn't gotten the idea that she can swivel around in it yet, but that will come with time. Enjoy the photo and video. Jack had a lazy afternoon of sleeping on the couch. I loved this shot, so I decided to post it as well!
