Babies having more babies
As promised, here is another old video of Gabby from June. In this one, she talks a lot about her baby dolls and other random things. If you hear the names Molly, Katie, Baby Charlie, or Doosey, these are all baby dolls or stuffed animals of hers.

The Photo Box
Today I got out Kenton's big box of photos in an attempt to find a particular photo of Kenton's grandparents. What I DID find was a whole lot of funny pics. You know when you go looking for one thing and you find a bunch of other things that distract you along the way? Yeah, that's what happened today. So, much to Kenton's pleasure I'm sure, I am lovingly going to share my finds with you right now. Remember honey, I love you very much.
Let's start way back...
Yikes. Must have been a rough season.
Because everyone should have a patterned vest senior pic like this one. I'm thinking that vest got thrown out with the other casualties in the prenuptial purge.
Then I found many photos of us attending Mt. Vernon High School dances when I was a teacher there. Kenton is an alumni and often DJ'd the events.
This was the year we got engaged. Look at my hair. A pattern will soon form. Notice how we are taking on the traditional awkward high school dance pose.
Oops. Hair is up again. Kenton seems to be leaning back in an attempt to counteract his self-proclaimed bad posture. I am holding on to his hands for dear life. For those who care, my mom bought this dress for $30 about 6 years before I actually wore it.
We're getting cuter aren't we? I think we told the photographer to "stuff it" and did our own pose. MUCH more natural if you ask me. See the hair? Yep. I'm creative. Maybe I need a stylist. The red dress I wore for my senior voice recital in college. It still sits in my closet upstairs for all of you who need a nice gown for your next gala, or high school prom, or benefit, or...funeral of someone you didn't like. Oops, did I say that?
What? You want more high school dance photos. Okay, so I also found these.
This one falls into the "Too-bad-there-aren't-retakes-at-dances" category.
Yes, I know. I'm adorable. What can I say? I don't take bad pictures. Okay, so that is such a lie, but I WAS looking through KENTON'S photo box, not my own. This one, from my senior prom, happened to be in there for some reason. Makes me a little suspicious as to why it was in there now that I think about it. "Oh, Keeeeentoooooon..."
And then I found this one from when Kenton wore glasses. He looked so intellectual didn't he?
This is my favorite photo of us from our honeymoon in Hawaii. Ahh...young love.
I had been looking for this photo for awhile so I was delighted to find it in the photo box! Kenton and Travis had an event together, so we all hopped into a photo highlighting my very pregnant belly. Are we dorks or what? I love Kenton's serious face.
Is it possible to be an uncool mom before the baby even arrives to tell you how uncool you are? If so, I am pretty sure I qualified for that program with this photo.
Speaking of, I also found the very first ultrasound photos of our little peanut from 4 years ago. Okay, I'm starting to tear up...not really, but it is an incredible memory thinking about the first time we saw our little girl!
Hope you enjoyed a short, random trip down memory lane!

Twinkle Twinkle Starry Gaga
We have been way too busy in the Smith house. Many of you know that I have been working on getting my Kindermusik license. Therefore, in any spare moments, I have been on the computer in my online classroom doing schoolwork. What did that ultimately mean? Yep, no blogging.
In the past few weeks, Gabby turned 3, I finished my classes for Kindermusik, Kenton has been busy doing a lot of internet safety training, and Jack has been...well...asleep. No big surprise there! I realized that I have a ton of video that I have taken of Gabby so I'm going to try to post them each day this week. Some are kind of long, but they all are cute and have funny parts!
This video was taken when Gabby was just getting over her week-long illness at the end of September. She was feeling so well she decided to sing for me in her microphone. Look for Kenton's intense parenting in this one.
